Adult and children's fancy dress at Bestival 2nd Dec 2008
The Isle of Wight's premiere music festival has announced the theme for next year's adult and children's fancy dress competition.
Bestival 2009, which is due to take place at Robin Hill from September 11th to 13th, will be going intergalactic for its 'Out of Space' theme.
Mermaid fancy dress was the order of the day for Bestival 2008, which had a Freaks Under the Sea theme.
Event planner and Radio One DJ Rob da Bank said that that the space theme would be celebrating the 40th anniversary of mankind's first trip to the moon.
"So get the needle and thread out, dig out the dressing up box and prepare for lift off," he exclaimed.
Tickets for the family music event are available now, although the musical acts headlining the event will not be announced until closer to the time.
This year, Amy Winehouse and Will Young were among the stellar cast of performers.
