Children's fancy dress and adult's school uniform 20th Nov 2008
Pupils at Bishop Pursglove primary school in Buxton have had the last laugh at a charity event as they were able to come to school in children's fancy dress while all the staff had to dress in school uniform.
The event, organised by school council members was a charity fundraising day aimed at raising money for Children in Need, the Buxton Advertiser reports.
Approximately £350 was raised from the day's events and as well as the children's fancy dress, the youngsters made and sold buns, cakes and biscuits to raise money.
There was also a drive to organise games to play at break time but they weren't the only ones to be joining in with the charity fun.
Both children and staff at Buxton Nursery came in dressed only in their pyjamas and paid for the privilege to raise funds for Children in Need. They also baked bread and cakes which were sold throughout the day.
James Bond star Daniel Craig donated his watch to the Children in Need auction.
