Youngsters at Aboyne Academy dressed in children's fancy dress and put on talent competitions to raise funds for Children in Need, Deeside Piper and Herald reports.
There were also sponsored silences, walks and cycles organised by pupils and some even decided to have their legs waxed and their hair shaved off in the name of charity.
The talent competitions saw solo singers competing with pipers and drummers. There was also sporting talent on show as pupils demonstrated their basketball skills.
Mrs Egan who works at the school and dressed up as Pudsey bear for the day said: "Children in Need has become an annual event at Aboyne Academy. Our pupils are tremendous - they put everything into coming up with new ideas for sponsored activities.
"It's such a happy, good humoured day - and all to benefit those less fortunate than ourselves. I'm hugely proud of each and every one of them."
Some pupils chose circus as the theme for their fancy dress, while the English department chose fairy tale characters and the maths department dressed as numbers.
The children's fancy dress prize went to Marin Kay who dressed as Post-it Man.
Aboyne Academy lies on Royal Deeside in the north-east of Scotland and is 20 minutes away from Balmoral Castle, the Queen's Highland home.
