A whole range of imaginative activities are taking place in Peterborough for Children in Need including children's fancy dress, custard baths and leg waxing.
Peterborough Today reported on the events which kicked off yesterday when pupils at Woodston Primary School held a fundraising day.
All youngsters paid £1 to go to school in non-uniform although it wasn't officially a children's fancy dress day.
They all got to join in the fun and had the chance to enter competitions that included guessing Pudsey's birthday, buying Pudsey biscuits and entering a raffle.
Headteacher Jacki Mitchell said: "The day went really well, and it was certainly a busy one."
The raffle also raised money for children's charities as the pupils had to drop money into a collection box in order to take part.
BBC Children in Need has raised £470 million since it began back in 1980. The charity raised over £37 million in 2007, of which £13 million was raised on the broadcasted evening.
