Rory Bremner judges children's fancy dress 13th Oct 2008
A children's fancy dress competition was inundated by excited mothers as news filtered through that it was to be judged by comedian Rory Bremner.
The Old Berks Hunt Supporters' Club show was at Uffington and Mr Bremner took the time to chat to all the children and mums who came along to the event, the Horse and Hound reported.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Mr Bremner chose a winner that was related to the world of showbiz as he gave "Yellow Brick Road", an ensemble from the Wizard of Oz, the number one prize.
Sylvia Cox, hunt secretary of the club, said: "Rory was walking around singing all the songs from the film."
She continued: "He was really good with the children - great fun."
The South Yorkshire Star reported on a children's fancy dress party that took place recently.
According to the paper, the event involved over 200 youngsters at Conisbrough's Ivanhoe Primary School who wore outfits to raise money to help repair a church.
