Adult and children's fancy dress part of opening day celebrations 7th Oct 2008
Art and cooking activities as well as an adults and children's fancy dress competition were just some of the events put together to celebrate the opening of a children's centre recently.
The Hereford Times reported on the event at the Kingstone and Golden Valley children's centre, which was opened by councillor Jenny Hyde.
It is hoped that the centre will provide support for families and children up to the age of five and it is currently based at Kingstone High school in Hereford.
In addition, those involved with the centre would like to extend the services it offices to include smaller venues in the future, which the paper suggested may include community halls and church buildings.
There were a number of people present to celebrate the opening of the children's centre including the administration assistant at the centre, a family support worker and a children's centre manager.
