Children's fancy dress raises money for flood victims 6th Oct 2008
Youngsters from a nursery got kitted out in children's fancy dress in a bid to raise money for a charity that was supporting flood victims.
The Bromsgrove Advertiser reported on the fundraising fun, which saw 60 Aston Fields nursery pupils join together to raise money for victims caught in last month's flash flooding in Bromsgrove.
Children from Busy Bees nursery dressed in a number of different outfits including fairy costumes and policemen's uniforms.
Money raised on the day went towards The National Flood Forum.
According to the paper, the charity was originally established to help those who have been involved in floods and those who may be at risk from flooding.
Commenting on the day, nursery nurse Natasha Juggins said that the event was held because the community wanted to do something to help the people who were affected.
She was reported as saying that the day was "really successful".
