A record breaking feat that involves children's fancy dress will take place at the end of this month as a Bolton roller skating club prepares to take part in a "Thrillerthon".
The idea of performing the largest ever simultaneous dance to Michael Jackson's hit song Thriller came to Steve Clegg, chairman of Bolton Artistic Roller Skating Club, after some club members were talking about the dance.
Mr Clegg explained that he looked Thriller up on the internet and "found stuff about Thrill The World and it grabbed [his] attention."
He said: "It's so different and I thought it would be brilliant for Bolton to join in" and enjoy the adult and children's fancy dress event.
The roller skating club will join with around 400 people who are set to wear make-up and fancy dress to dance their way into the Guinness Book of World Records.
Canadian dance instructor, Ines Markeljevic, started the Thrill The World event in 2006 and last year over 1,700 people took part in the dance off.
