Fancy dress to raise money for hospice 26th Sep 2008
A fancy dress event is going to be hosted by Gala Bingo in Scunthorpe in a bid to raise money for a local hospice.
Gala will be hosting a beach-themed Bingo Party on Saturday (September 27th) from 3.30pm as a fundraiser for the Lindsey Lodge Hospice, thisisscunthorpe.co.uk reported.
The event has been organised by duty manager Rachel Glinden, whose mother was cared for by the staff at the Lindsay Lodge.
It will prizes for the best fancy dress costumes and will also include nine prize games of bingo.
Speaking to the local portal about her charitable idea, Ms Glinden said that she felt compelled to do something to raise money for the hospice because of the great care her mum received.
She explained: "Mum loved it at Lindsey Lodge. She loved all the people down there and you can't ask for more than that."
"She would go down there every Thursday. They have got people who volunteer and full-time nurses."
