Wardrobe supervisor reveals life-long love of costumes 26th Sep 2008
A wardrobe supervisor from Aberdeen has revealed that her love of costumes began when she was very young.
In an interview with the Press and Journal, Lynne Greig explained that when her mother was a wardrobe supervisor at a theatre in the Scottish city she was given the opportunity to help her out.
This first-hand experience of all the gorgeous clothes and props at the age of 14 made her realise just how exciting costumes could be, she said.
Ms Greig explained that her mum "was the wardrobe supervisor at His Majesty's Theatre, Aberdeen, and one night she was short of a dresser so she asked me if I would help out".
This gave her the chance to see some truly "exquisite" clothes and after that she was hooked.
"I thoroughly enjoyed it," Ms Greig added. "From then on I never really left, and 16 years ago when my mum retired I took over the role of wardrobe supervisor."
