Children in Devon have been flocking to Paignton Green for a fancy dress festival of fun.
The five-day event is organised by Torbay Council and has provided a schedule of activities for children in the area, reports the Herald Express.
A big top on the green also meant that the wet weather did not dampen spirits and the festivities moved under the canvas when the heavens opened.
"The weather hasn't made us change much. We have just been a bit creative and adapted things to fit around the weather," organiser Anna Whitehead told the newspaper.
On Monday a street art activity moved inside and saw hundreds of children drawing their designs on large pieces of card.
Pan's kitchen is on the green all week, where children can make a range of culinary delights.
There is also a treasure hunt on the beach and street art on the prom. The carnival will come to a close today (August 22nd) with a fancy dress competition.
"We will be awarding fantastic prizes for the fancy dress so come along and join in the fun," concluded Alison Boni from the Herald Express.
