This weekend attracted hoards of colourful crowds and floats for the annual Walton Carnival.
Thousands of spectators turned out for the three days of fancy dress events, competitions and demonstrations, reports the Gazette.
The fun kicked off on Friday (August 15th) with a children's fancy dress show, followed by a children's obstacle course.
Adults were also invited to take part in the fancy dress part of the carnival and many entered the pram and decorated vehicles parade.
"The carnival procession went splendidly. The crowd seemed to enjoy it, they said it was the best year ever," carnival secretary, Liz Harper, told the newspaper.
A sandcastle competition started Saturday off and the carnival floats were judged and the procession set off.
Ms Harper went on to say that they were "really, really lucky" on Saturday as the weather was so bright.
This year's Walton carnival queen was Emma Frost and the carnival princesses were Lydia Parsley and Hannah Duffy.
