Formby Rose Queen Parade 26th Jun 2008
|
 |
Fairytale dresses, children's fancy dress outfits and a barbecue all helped the Formby Rose Queen Parade to be a great success.
Organiser Maria Bennett told the Formby Times that she would like to thank a number of people for their support in the event, including Debbie Charnock who made more than one "fabulous" Disney Princess dress.
Perfect Finish Dress Hire's Carol and Jackie ensured there were plenty of characters for the parade, she added, while volunteers from Sefton Cancer Support Group worked "extremely hard" ensuring everybody enjoyed themselves.
Meanwhile, two little girls in queen and princess fancy dress, along with their prince are in desperate need of assistance.
Organisers of the Filey Festival are appealing for anyone with either an open top car or a pony and trap to loan their vehicle for the event.
The queen, prince and princess will need to be transported around Saturday's festival, reports the Scarborough Evening News.
