No princess dress for Buddy as he steals the show 24th Apr 2008

Dogs in fairy princess dress, as well as those dressed as rock stars and cheerleaders, were the stars of a 'beautiful bulldog' contest held earlier this week in the US.
And despite tough competition, Buddy the bulldog stole the show, winning the contest in tribute to the mascot of Drake University in Iowa.
The energetic 3-year-old beat off his rivals to win the crown and the honour of representing Drake at its 99th Relay.
Buddy's owners George and Cindy DuBois were delighted at his triumph.
And unlike the other mutts, many of whom sported elaborate costumes including fairytale dresses - one dog was dressed as Snow White - Buddy was content simply to show off a shiny red coat.
"We didn't dress him up because we wanted his pretty red coat to show. He's gorgeous," said Cindy.
Her husband added that the couple were "pretty proud" and praised his pooch exclaiming: "It was swell, wasn't it? Way to go Bud!"
The UK's biggest dog show, Crufts, was held last month in Birmingham and saw giant schnauzer Jafrak Philippe Olivier being crowned Best in Show.
