Molebatsi Motsepe has only lived in the UK for seven years and she's already a princess.
The 18-year-old triumphed in a competition to find a royal for the Seaford Carnival which is taking place on May 25th, reports the Eastbourne Herald.
She was asked a number of questions by the panel of five judges, including what she could bring to the role.
The photography and hairdressing student impressed them with her "confidence and intelligence" so much that she beat off the competition from five other entrants.
And now Molebatsi, originally from South Africa, will be a representative for the area at a number of events throughout the year.
Her first duty in office, however, will be opening the Carnival.
The delighted newly-crowned princess told the paper: "I am ecstatic, I have been telling everyone 2008 has been my year. It's just been so positive."
Last week the Redditch Advertiser reported that a queen, prince and princess have all been picked to lead the Astwood Bank Carnival procession on May 17th.
